Marcus J. Woods began his business career with Ernst & Ernst which preceded today’s Ernst & Young. He left the firm after eight years to co-found his own public accounting firm. His early years spent in accounting, management and ownership of a firm have served him well throughout his career.
For the past 30 years Marc has specialized in leading and directing corporate re-organization and re-engineering projects. He has significant experience with P&L management, financial modeling, analyzing management information systems, business plan creation and execution, business process improvement, and many other aspects of finance and operations management. Marc has often been retained by the boards of private or public companies to lead and manage turnaround efforts and he has an impressive track record in several industries.
With Marc’s extensive background in directing corporate organizations and reorganizations, the real estate function and its financial impact has been a major focus. In his capacities as Controller, CFO and CEO he has retained and directed various real estate companies to handle numerous asset valuation, restructuring, and disposition projects. Marc was the Chief Financial Officer of Surterre Properties, Inc. He served as an advisor to Clarion Consulting before becoming a partner in 2008.
Marc earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from San Jose State University.
